Remember these little tins of goodness?Allie at Robert Kaufman made three hundred of these darling STUDIO STASH charm tins for giveaways at Quilt Market and give away we did! During a school house at market, a woman named Linda won a tin of all 74- 3 1/2" squares. In her excitement she proclaimed to me she would make something soon! I said, "Great. I can't wait!! Show me when you are done!" LInda works in a wonderful shop, Cotton Patch which is filled with lots of ideas and was inspired by a terrific new book by Cheryl Arkinson, A Month of Sundays (C&T Publishing). So she got busy and made this quilt in a flash. This is a simple quilt that can work in so many color palettes, and perfect for showcasing a charm pack! She used 64 of the 74 squares. I love the yellow Kona ground she chose. With the help of her friend Jocelyn, the top was quilted and bound ready to share! This fall, while my birch trees where turning a brilliant yellow, I borrowed this charming piece, lived with, photographed and loved it for a bit before it had to go home to it's mom. THANKS FOR SHARING LINDA!! FINALLY, Speaking of Charm, Pat Sloan is a wonderful interviewer and quite an asset to our industry. Thank you to all who listened to the podcast and participated in the giveaway. It was a neat experience. A BIG SHOUT OUT TO: Donna Baker won the STUDIO STASH bundle. Theresa Thibodeau won the DAISY LOVE FLANNEL . Your goodies are in the mail! If I may quote them, "OH MY GOSH!!! You totally make my day!" and "OMG! I never win!" Now go CREATE and have some FUN! Jennifer.
